Earlier this year, the City of Buffalo Office of Strategic Planning (OSP) accepted a $2 million Lead Hazard Reduction Grant to be expended over 42 months. The award is serving to remediate approximately 110 units concentrated in four high-risk census tracts, including two of the City’s Planning Neighborhoods: census tracts 61 and 171 in the city’s Upper West Side neighborhood and 37 and 38 in Schiller Park.
To qualify, the home must have been built before 1978, must meet income-eligibility requirements, and have a child under the age of six living in the home.
Schiller Park residents may contact the Matt Urban Center for assistance.
Upper West Side residents are directed to contact Heart of the City Neighborhoods.
